Party Time!

Friends I went to my first birthday party this afternoon and it was awesome!! My friend Amelia turned 4 today (yeah I like older women). Amelia is my friend Zaven's big sister. There was a big cake at the party and a lot of my friends were there. I got to crawl around in a different house and play with different toys. I even stole Amelia's shoe and played with it for a while.

There were so many adults who wanted to hold me and play with me that I didn't even fuss or want to eat for three whole hours. That must be a new record for me. Mommy was no fun, she wouldn't let me eat any cake. She said she was going to be trapped in a car with me for the 40 minute ride home and couldn't risk me getting all hyper.

Here's another photo of me and Zaven playing at the party. He's 4 days younger than me and already has 8 teeth!! Well friends I'm off to continue my weekend adventures.

Have a Good Week

Friends I hope you had a nice weekend. I kicked mine off right with a super fun bubble bath on Friday night. I LOVE the water. You can see me playing in the bath in the video clip below. Yes when I grow up I will be mad at Mommy for posting this video... trust me. On Saturday Mommy and I ran errands while Daddy went to work. I love going to the farmer's market because there are so many interesting people there. It was so crowded on Saturday that some woman hit me in the face with a bunch of basil. I didn't mind, I hope she didn't mind that I took a bite out of it. What an interesting taste!!

I'm continuing to try new things to eat. I have now tried Kale which is like collard greens. I liked it but it was really hard for me to break up with no teeth. I know what you're thinking, I'm 9 months 3 weeks old and no teeth... well good things come to those who wait. Mommy hopes so... she says maybe having them come in late will mean they are straight and no need for braces. Mommy says when I get teeth I can finally try eating some meat.

On Sunday Mommy, Daddy and I went hiking. I got to sit in my new jogging stroller.. but I decided that wasn't a good enough workout for Daddy so when were about 80% done I demanded he carry me. Daddy's such a good sport! He carried me and let me carry his water bottle even though I dropped it every couple of feet forcing him to bend down and pick it up. Well I hope you all have a great week. This week I am going to keep spending half days in the big kid's room at school. I will be moving up there by the end of this month! Then I will no longer be in the infant's room... I will officially be considered a crawler.

Rested and Ready

Friends I slept so well last night. I put myself to bed and it only took me 10 minutes to fall asleep on my own! I didn't wake up at all last night and this morning I got up at the right time. Mommy and Daddy were so smiley because we cut out the 3am play time. Here's a video of me playing and crawling this morning. I have so much more energy to play when I sleep well!

Crying, Chewing and Crawling

Friends it's been a long time since we've met, but I had so much to do. On Sunday I decided I would start crawling like normal babies instead of crawling like a little marine. It's much slower, but I like to do it sometimes for a change. I've been working up a sweat doing all these new things so Mommy and Daddy let me stay in the bath extra long. I've been trying all kinds of new foods.

Here's a picture of me trying avocado. That stuff is soooo good! I've also tried blueberries (I have mixed thoughts on them) and chunks of sweet potato.

This week I've also been battling a little cough and I'm having some sleepin problems. I've decided I want to play between 3am and 4am, but Mommy and Daddy don't seem to want to hang out with me. Last night we tried crying it out. I cried myself to sleep after 25 minutes.... unfortunately it took Mommy much longer to cry herself to sleep. She doesn't like me to be upset.

Say Cheese!

Friends I am trying so many new foods that I am considering turning this into a culinary blog. This weekend I got my first taste of broccoli. It's good, but sometimes a little bitter and in no way compares to what I got to eat next. On Monday night I had my first taste of cheese and I am now addicted. I loved it so much I tried eating 3 pieces at once!

Now that I am eating big people food, Mommy, Daddy and I got to eat dinner at the table all together as a family. You better keep an eye on that Daddy, I think I saw him eyeing up my cheese. At Monday night's dinner I also ate some gnocchi which are small Italian potato dumpling pieces of pasta. They are very yummy, gummy and chewy. My belly looked like a beach ball when I was done with all that food.

Tuesday night I tried carrots. I must have a thing for orange food because I loved them too. I ate 5 steamed baby carrots in addition to my baby food and some bits of whole wheat pita bread. Mommy says at the rate I'm going, we are going to be regulars at Sam's Club because we will have to buy food in bulk!

Yesterday was my 9 month-versary. I still have no teeth (yes I know you were wondering) and lots of hair. But I want to lay to rest a rumor that my hair is always luxurious and cute. I have bad hair days too! Monday Daddy and I ran errands and I fell into a deep, sweaty sleep in my car seat and look what I ended up with... my very own baby-fro. I'll end this post with a video from Sunday of me eating broccoli... not riveting, but hey it's something.

Watch Out World

Friends I am a man on the move. I pull myself to standing on anything and everything I can find. Mommy says I'm a real stand-up guy. Yesterday I decided to test my boundaries and try to walk a little. With the help of a big box from one of my Christmas presents, I created a baby version of a walker. It's not as riveting as some of my other films, but here's me scooting around my box.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year friends! I know this year is going to be so much fun. Here's my first picture of the New Year. It's always nice to start of the year with a smile. On New Years Day I spent the day with my friend Quinn and his Mommy and Daddy while my Mommy and Daddy were at work. I had so much fun that I was a little fussy when Mommy tried to take me home.

It's day two of the new year and I'm still keeping up with my resolution to bulk up. This is me lifting weights this morning. I'm such a tough guy. My other resolution is to get teeth. No luck with that yet. Maybe I'll get one for Valentine's Day. Here's another video from Christmas Day. This is me playing with my new Elmo doll. That guy is a riot!
