The Daily Grind

Friends life is pretty stable here. I go to school during the week and play with my parents on the weekend. Only two more days until I eat my first baby food! I have decided though that I like rice cereal and I eat like a champ now. Mommy and Daddy were worried that I would never fit in down in Louisiana if I didn't eat rice because all the good food there is made with rice like gumbo and jambalaya.

Every night Daddy lets me splash around during bath time. I tire myself out kicking my legs in the water. Daddy's letting me experiment with my hair after bath time. What do you think of this mohawk? After my bath Mommy, Daddy and I sit and read. Even though my books are interesting, I get very sleepy and then it's time for bed.

My Nannie and Poppie are coming to spend a long weekend with me. I can't wait to show them all the new sounds I'm trying out. I'm convinced some of them are actual words. I'm also making headway with my scooting around. Like a little turtle I can scoot around in circles on the floor.

Sick Days

I'm back friends. I was home sick from school for two days. I got a little fever on Tuesday night and by Wednesday my stomach felt very yucky. Mommy stayed home with me on Wednesday and Daddy stayed home with my on Thursday just to make sure I was back to my normal healthy self.

I'm ending my week on a high note healthy and back at school. This time I decided not share my sickness with Mommy and Daddy and they seemed just fine with that.

I'm still not a fan of the rice cereal and I'm counting the days (only 8 left) until I can eat real baby food. My puppies don't seem to mind the cereal. They like to eat any of the cereal that I happen to spit out on the floor.

I hope you all have a nice weekend. Mommy and I will be playing at home while Daddy works. Here's a random cute picture of me playing with my toy. I really need to work on my coordination because I sometimes just take the rattle and conk myself in the head with it. I don't mind but it makes Daddy very nervous!

Chow Hound

Friends have you ever eaten solid food? I don't quite know what to think about it. I tried rice cereal for the first time this weekend. Mommy, Daddy and I went to Nashville to have fun with some of our family. I had my very baby food there. I have to be honest, I thought the first few bites were pretty gross and I spit them out. It is pretty sticky so maybe I can use it to keep my spikey hair down.

I finally got the hang of it once Mommy and Daddy helped me keep the food in my mouth. That stuff is slippery! I've eaten it a couple of times now and more and more of it is actually making it to my tummy. In a couple of weeks I can start trying veggies. Mommy is convinced that veggies have to taste better than that cereal and I may like them better.

I got to spend time with my Poppie and my Uncle Troy this weekend. I hadn't seen either of them in a month! Saturday night we had a belated birthday party for my Uncle Troy. There was a yummy ice cream cake that I wish I could have put my fingers in but Mommy says ice cream is far, far in my future.

Mommy, Daddy and I came home on Sunday instead of Monday. Mommy got called into work on Monday because of some lady named Fay. Mommy told me she wasn't a lady but a tropical storm. I never knew rain had names! I'm spending the day at home with Daddy while Mommy works.

Mini Model

I have some new pictures to share with you friends. Ms. Kate took all these pictures of me. Mommy says I look handsome! Ms. Kate is the best photographer ever. When she launches her photography website I am going to link it to me site so you will all have her take your pictures. This will be the first time I have black and white pictures on my blog. I am so hip!

Yesterday was my 4 month checkup. I now weigh 14 pounds 8 ounces and I'm 24 1/2
inches long. My doctor says I am a very physically active baby and that I am going to just be a bundle of energy. Mommy says that wasn't anything she didn't already know. I'm getting so big that this week I can start eating rice cereal! Don't worry my adoring fans will be there to take plenty of pictures of my first real meal.

Music City USA

Friends I am still recovering from my weekend visit to Nashville aka Music City USA. I helped my Teetee move into her new house. I love to go visit her because she always spoils me with new clothes. My Nannie was there too. I had such a good time hanging out with all the ladies.

I am now officially a cowboy. Saturday night I went to the Grand Ole Opry and heard lots of music. We heard yodeling, bluegrass, country and a little cajun music, but the highlight was hearing Carrie Underwood sing. I sure wish I had stayed awake long enough to hear her! Here's a picture of me and Teetee standing at the doors to the Opry.

This weekend Mommy, Daddy and I are going back to Nashville and the whole family will be there. Uncle Troy is driving up from Louisiana and Poppie is flying in from Mexico. Let the spoiling begin!

Calendar Chaos

I went to the doctor this morning friends but she wasn't there. My Mommy and Daddy had made a mistake. My appointment was on Thursday morning and we missed it. Yikes! No worries, we rescheduled for next week. So I have no update on my weight or height. But here's a picture Daddy took of me while we were waiting to reschedule.

Football Frenzy

Friends I'm still slowly recovering from my cold. I need to be well enough to stay up and watch my very first Saints game. I'm wearing my Saints onesie to daycare today just so all those other babies know that I am clearly a member of the black and gold nation and NOT a Falcons fan.

Mommy and I are going to start packing our bags tonight for our weekend trip to Nashville. We found out yesterday that we are going to go to the Grand Ole Opry for my very first concert! I may need to get a baby cowboy hat just to fit in. Mommy just hopes I don't decide to sing along with Carrie Underwood because I have a very loud voice when I want to make myself heard.

Here's one last photo of me practicing with my very own football. I just want Deuce to know that I am gunning for his job. He better watch out, I'm growing so fast, I may soon be as big as a football player.
