Holy Cow!

I don't know if I've mentioned it before but I go to this really cool church called St. Thomas More. Mommy, Daddy and I go every weekend. As part of my special church services I was baptised at the beginning of August. All of my family came to visit for my big celebration. That Friday night a lot of my family and some friends went out to celebrate before my big dip at the church.

By Saturday morning all my family was at my house and ready to go. Mommy and Daddy made me wear this completely white suit. Silly parents... white isn't for an active little boy! My Uncle Joe promised to be my godfather for my whole life. I always knew that guy would take good care of me. My favorite priest Father Brian did the service and he was nice enough to let me cry through most of it. I mean who wouldn't cry if they had to sit through church during naptime instead of laying in their comfortable bed?

I made sure to show Father Brian how active I am to prove I'm not like a lot of other babies who sleep through their baptisms. After a short half hour ceremony I was baptised! Then it was time to go home and party. Thankfully when we got home I got to change into play clothes. My friends come over and we got to eat a bunch of yummy food. Daddy even broke out the baby pool and let Olivia and I splash around.

Oh Canada!

Friends I am now an international traveler! Mommy and Daddy took me on a super crazy busy fun summer vacation. Sit back and I'll tell you all about it. From that picture I bet you thought we went to the beach but we didn't we went somewhere even better. One day after school a few weeks ago Mommy and Daddy picked me up together and I noticed the car was full of stuff. We were going on an adventure! We drove a very, very long time and I admit it I was sometimes cranky. To my surprise when I woke up in the car I was at my Nannie and Poppie's house in Louisiana!

I woke up the next day (Tuesday) and Mommy and Daddy took me to this really neat playground with sand as the base. That was the first time I ever got to play with sand and it was sooo neat. I loved it so much I decided to roll around in it... it makes the car pretty dirty, I wouldn't try it if I was you.

Mommy and Daddy and I spent the whole day having fun in Louisiana shopping, eating seafood and visiting with my Nannie and Poppie. The next morning (Wednesday) we got up way before the sun did and we loaded a whole bunch of stuff in Poppies truck... we were going on an even bigger adventure! We went to the airport. I hadn't been to one of those in like 7 1/2 months... that's like half a lifetime ago for me. Mommy said we were going to Canada to see where Nannie and Poppie lived when they were little babies like me. We took two really long flights and Mommy and Daddy were so happy because they said I was a very, very good baby. But they kept using the term "busy, busy bee" for some reason hmmmm I wonder why?

We went to my Nana's house. She's my Mommy's Grandmother. We were so pooped when we got there that I slept the night away. The next morning (Thursday) Mommy, Daddy and I walked around exploring the city where Nana lives. We found this great park with a playset shaped like a boat!! It was right on the waterfront in Dartmouth, NS so I got to see real boats too. The weather was so much different than at my house in Georgia. I wore pants so I wouldn't get cold!
Friday Mommy and Daddy took me for a really Canadian experience. There's this magical place called Tim Horton's and they sell donuts that are round and made just for babies I think. Now I'm usually not the lover of sweets but this may be the turning point in my life. I attacked those tiny donuts and even stole some out of Daddy's box! That's what he gets for trusting me to hold them on the walk home from the restaurant.

Saturday was a very busy day.. we drove up to see Nannie's family. I got to meet my cousin Caden and he let me play with all of his toys. He's a member of the big boy club and I can't wait until I can do all the things he can. Nannie's family threw a big party for us so everyone could come and meet me. It was so much fun and I got to eat lobster for the first time. I liked it so much that I may ask Mommy to make it every day.

We spent the night at my Aunt Yvonne's house. She's my Mommy's Aunt too. She likes me and even let me pet her cat Morgan... I don't think he liked me as much as I liked him. It's funny, after I petted him he would run away every time I got near him. I wonder why? Nannie and Daddy helped me learn the words kitty cat since I couldn't say Morgan.

Sunday I got to meet some new people. Ms. Corrine and Mr. Grant had us over to their house for dinner and there was so much yummy food that I couldn't decide what to eat so I chowed down on a huge homemade roll while I thought it over. All this vacationing makes a boy hungry!

On Monday it was party time again. We drove to meet up with Poppie's side of the family. They had a big lunch with a bunch of fun people for me to meet. I got to eat more yummy lobster. My cousin Blair kept me thoroughly entertained with his big boy toys and his huge backyard. He has a trampoline, a sand box, a swing set and a ride on truck. You can see the ocean from his bedroom window! How neat is that?!
Tuesday is was time to say goodbye to Canada and fly home. After several delays and long flights Mommy said she was very, very relieved to be back in Louisiana where we spent the night before driving home to Georgia. I love it when Mommy drives and Daddy sits in the back with me because he lets me eat junk food. Yummy cheesey chips! So that was my adventure friends. I have so many pictures that I had to create two links for them. Click here to see the bulk of them and here to catch the tail end of my trip.

Stick It Out!

My newest hobby is sticking out my tongue. I love to do it even when I'm running! Mommy is worried I might just bite my little tongue. Even Daddy gets in on the act sometimes. Mommy says she really, really loves that I never put silly pictures of her on my blog.

Brunch Baby

After that last post I wanted to show you that I am a good boy sometimes. Two weekends ago we went out from brunch at a nice restaurant and I ate out of a real big people's bowl without making a mess or smashing it on the ground. I had a lovely fruit plate and gobbled most of Mommy and Daddy's food too. Click here to see all my pictures from Watershed.

Clever Devil

The day that I got my booster seat was a day of discovery. Mommy called it a day of horror. I think I'm such a clever devil.... Mommy says there's more emphasis on the devil part. First I figured out how to use a cardboard box as a step and I climbed onto the coffee table to dance. Here I am proclaiming victory over Mommy and her silly no climbing rules.

After Mommy helped me down I scampered off to play in the kitchen. Mommy is very nice and has filled the lowest drawer with old pots and pans that I can bang and play with without getting into trouble. Well after my conquer of the coffee table... I was struck with a brilliant idea, what if I used the drawer to climb onto the countertop?! I mean what a brilliant thought. That's where Mommy and Daddy put all the fun stuff I'm not allowed to play with like keys and cell phones. You can't keep a good man down and that day there was nothing stopping me!!

From there I decided the sky was the limit. I saw a basketball on TV and decided to scale the entertainment unit to snatch it off the screen. There are no pictures of that because Mommy was really, really upset when I grabbed either side of the flat screen TV and tried to push it to the ground.

Mommy thought I needed an outlet for all of my energy so she took me to Leapin Lizards to jump my sillies out. I bounced for a little bit and then finally figured out how to draw with chalk. Mommy was actually smiling at that discovery. I only put the chalk on my shirt or in my mouth 75% of the time, the rest of the time I was drawing up a storm.

Just when Mommy thought the naughties were all over for the day I decided to climb into an empty diaper box that was going out for recycling. I was having a great time until I tried to make the box bare all my weight and I ended up biting the dust. Sometimes discovery is painful! Mommy said the whole day was painful for her and she must have meant it because it seemed like she was in tears an awful lot that day!
Click here to see all the photos of my wicked ways... I promise I was much better behaved the next day.

Give Me A Boost

Two Saturdays ago I got the chance to move up in the world and at the table. I got my very first booster seat. Now I sit at the table just like Mommy and Daddy. They are also trying out different dishes and placemats for me. We have a very simple rating system. If I throw it on the floor that means it's fun but a big, big mess! Mommy makes sure everything I have is plastic because I sure love the clang of metal and glass. Click here to see all of the pictures of me trying out my new booster seat.

Rounding Out The Week

I spent Thursday and Friday night hanging out with my friend Olivia. We played in the sprinkler Thursday because it was another North Georgia scorcher. We often have disagreements over who gets to play with the water hose, but sometimes the fights are the most fun parts of the night. One thing's for sure, since we started playing in the sprinkler our grass has been much, much greener.

Olivia left her shoes at my house after our sprinkler splash. I really liked her crocs and was tempted to keep them, but they just weren't the right color for me. I would probably need blacks ones just like my Poppie has.

Friday night we tried to go to our favorite pool but it has been shut down for decontamination... Mommy says that means someone pooped in the pool and they have to clean it... ewww keep the poop in the diaper! We went to a bigger kids pool instead. It was ok, but not as much fun as our cool toddler hang out.
Afterwards Olivia and I split some chicken fingers at her house. Mommy thought I was playing so quietly and nicely with Olivia but instead I was in her bathroom playing with toilet paper. I think it makes a great robe... what do you think?
