Rock N' Roll

I am a man on the move. I have mastered rolling from back to front and then rolling back again. Now that I can get on my belly very easily, I love picking my head up to check out the scenery. I'm now and the same level with my puppies Kayle and Lilith. They should be afraid, very very afraid.

I am itching to take off and start this crawling thing. I have no idea how to crawl, but I have figured out how to scoot around and spin in circles on my belly. I can now reach for my toys and grab them. Now if I can just figure out how to note hit myself in the head with them they will be much more fun.

Midsummer Night's Dream

Friends sleeping has become quite an adventure for me. I am learning so many new things. In addition to sleeping through the night almost every day this week, I figured out last night how to put myself back to sleep when I wake up.

I woke up this morning around 4am and had a nice little chat with the dinosaurs on my bumper pad. Then I rolled over, started sucking my finger and went back to sleep. Mommy and Daddy were so excited. I have also discovered that I can roll over and sleep on my stomach with my booty in the air. It's so snuggly you should try it!

Playing Around

I had the greatest weekend friends. I spent all day Saturday with my buddy Zaven. We were born 4 days apart and now we're almost the exact same size. He is such a good conversationalist. Look at this picture of us just talking away.

On Sunday I had a photo shoot with my favorite photographer Ms. Kate. She always makes me look so handsome. Stay tuned for those pictures. Sunday afternoon Unlce Joe came over to hang out with me and Daddy. I have such a good time just hanging out with the guys. Mommy says she is tickled pink with me because I slept the whole night through on Saturday and Sunday! Now I'm all rested and ready for a big week at school.

Happy Days

Everything is going so great friends. I really like school and I've got this rolling thing all figured out. At school the teachers call me "The Smiler." Mommy says that's much better than being called "The Screamer."

My toys have become much more interesting these days and I'm practicing my smile on anyone I see. I've figured out how to make my bouncy seat bounce on my own. Man is that exciting or what? I'm also starting to have more patience with my car seat. Even though it still stinks that I can't see Mommy when she's driving, I figure I can just entertain myself with the eight million toys clipped to the handles of my seat.

On a Roll

Friends it's been over a week since I blogged but I've just been so sad since my Nanny left to go back to Louisiana. I miss her a lot.

But before she left, I learned the neatest trick. I found out how to roll over! It's so much fun you should really try it. But I'll warn you, once you roll over sometimes your arm gets stuck under you. That's pretty frustrating.

Here are some pictures of me mid-roll.

Lazy Days of Summer

Friends I am having so much fun going to school but all that activity wears a boy out. I have slept more in the past week than I have in my entire life. Sometimes I can't even make it the whole mile and a half from the daycare to my house without falling asleep in my chair. Everyone at school is so sweet to me and they cuddle me all day long.

This week I've also discovered a great new toy... toes! I can grab them and put them in the air and wiggle them. They are so much fun, you should try it. Well I'm off to get ready for school.

School's In Session

I went to my school for the first time yesterday. It was my first day so Daddy only let me stay for 4 hours so that I wouldn't get overwhelmed. I was so calm and had such a good time. It's great because there are miniature versions of people there who walk around and play in my classroom. Mommy explained to me that those are babies that are growing up. They are fascinating to watch.

Mommy loves my new school. She says it must have worn me out because last night I slept for 10 hours straight! She says if I keep sleeping like that I will be going to that school for a long, long time. This is the outfit I was going to wear to my first day of school, but poop happens. And in my case it meant a wardrobe substitution.

Discovery Days

Friends I learn something new every single day. On Friday I realized that if I arch my back and lean to the side I can roll up on my side. It's really fun but short lived because my heavy head makes me roll back down again. But I'll keep practicing and one of these days I'm going to roll completely over.

On Sunday night I discovered something that will be crucial to my life as a little boy. I learned how to splash in the bathtub! I kick my legs and it makes the water go flying. I love it so much. Nannie lets me take extra long baths so I can just splash and splash away. I hope Mommy has invested in a good rain coat because I think the bigger I get the messier my baths are going to get.

Middle Man

I went to the doctor on Thursday friends to get my last two shots so I can go to big boy school on Monday. I now weigh 13 pounds 3 ounces. That's right in the middle for my age. Half the babies weigh more than me and half the babies my age weigh less.

So many new things are happening. I can sit up with help and I have a fun chair that helps me sit up. I really love playing in it but sometimes my big baby head gets a little heavy and I slowly lower it to the tray and take a little nap.

I've also finished my rounds of keeping my parents awake at night and I'm back to only waking up once a night. I thought it was fun waking them up for those two nights but then I realized it was making me sleepy too!

This week I found my voice. It's so fascinating and now I practice talking all the time. I must get that from my Mommy!

I went to visit my big boy school this week. There were other babies there, but I will be the youngest by 1 month. I have 3 teachers and they are so nice and can't wait to take turns holding me on my first day on Monday. I'm just going for a half day so that I can get used to my new school.

Mr. Sandman

Well friends I've decided that Mommy and Daddy were a little too comfortable with me sleeping 6 to 8 hours straight. I've decided to switch it up a bit and for the last two nights I've gotten up every 3 hours just to make sure they're doing o.k. I don't keep them up very long, just long enough to make them get out of bed.

It's just my duty as a good baby to check on them because they used to check on me every couple of hours when I first came home from the hospital. Hey if any of you are awake at 1am or 4am, give me a call!

Baseball Baby

Well I'm officially all-American now because I've been to my first baseball game. We went Saturday to a Braves game with Nannie and Poppie. There was so much to see and hear. It's the perfect place for a curious little baby. Daddy and I dressed up in our Braves best and enjoyed the warm summer breeze.
I slept from the top of the 6th to the top of the 9th, but don't worry friends I didn't miss much. The hometeam ended up losing the game. I'll have to go back soon and make sure they win one for me.

Working 9 to 5

Friends I bet you thought I forgot about you. The truth is that my Mommy went back to work and I am having so much fun playing with my Nannie all day that I didn't have time to blog. She's been keeping me pretty busy. I've included pictures of all of the things we've been doing like hunting bears, training for a pushup contest and working on our Saints cheers for football season.

But before I do all of that stuff every day I send Mommy off to work to find the news. Sometimes the news is hiding, but Mommy can always find lots of it in Florida. She has so many nice friends at work like Ms. Stephanie who reads my blog every day.

My Poppie came to Georgia last night to see me for the 4th of July. Tonight he's going to teach me how to bar-b-q. It's very nice of him to spend Independence Day with me even though he's Canadian.

Tomorrow we're all going to the Braves game. It's my first baseball game. It doesn't get much more American than that! I even have a Braves outfit to wear to the game.

Friends I wish I could promise you to blog more during the week, but playing with Nannie is just so darn fun. I will try to be a better blogger but things are going to get crazy in a week when I go to big boy school.
