Brusha Brusha Brusha

Now that I'm getting teeth left and right I LOVE to brush them. It makes me feel like a big boy and it tickles! Sometimes I try to get fancy and brush with the handle instead of the bristles. Here are some candid shots of me brushing my teeth before bed. Notice my super cool toddler sized leather chair my Daddy bought me. Click here to see all the dental delight.

Millie's One and Then Some

I talk about my friend Millie a lot and this summer she turned 1! We're both big kid toddlers now. She had a super fun party on August 9th to celebrate. Her theme was rubber duckies. I got to go swimming in a duckie pool and her Uncle Mo even fed me some duckie themed cake. Here are a few pictures of her party. Boy at the slow rate I'm blogging these days, I'll be at Millie's second birthday party before you even see these ones!

Road Trippin

The summer of '09 was officially the summer of the road trip. The first weekend in August Mommy and I went to visit Teetee and Uncle Troy in Nashville, but without a pit stop at the aquarium in Chattanooga on the way up. My friend Olivia and her parents went to the aquarium too, but I got to keep Teetee and Uncle Troy all to myself.

We did all kinds of fun thing like go to restaurants, play in the pool and Teetee even let me ride her dog like a pony. Yeehaw! I made myself pretty comfortable there even eating the banana peppers straight out of the garden. Thankfully I wasn't too naughty so I'm sure they'll invite me back soon. Click here to see all the pictures from my August '09 trip to Nashville. Sorry they're a little out of order!

I Scream, You Scream

Since it's a cold, drizzly fall day here, I thought I'd warm you all up with memories of my first ice cream cone. On Friday August 7th Mommy thought I was ready to handle the cone all by myself. We had a great family night out and my parents foolishly let me play in the sand box at the ice cream place after I ate.... needless to say I brought most of that sand home on my sticky little hands. Holy Cow!

I don't know if I've mentioned it before but I go to this really cool church called St. Thomas More. Mommy, Daddy and I go every weekend. As part of my special church services I was baptised at the beginning of August. All of my family came to visit for my big celebration. That Friday night a lot of my family and some friends went out to celebrate before my big dip at the church.

By Saturday morning all my family was at my house and ready to go. Mommy and Daddy made me wear this completely white suit. Silly parents... white isn't for an active little boy! My Uncle Joe promised to be my godfather for my whole life. I always knew that guy would take good care of me. My favorite priest Father Brian did the service and he was nice enough to let me cry through most of it. I mean who wouldn't cry if they had to sit through church during naptime instead of laying in their comfortable bed?

I made sure to show Father Brian how active I am to prove I'm not like a lot of other babies who sleep through their baptisms. After a short half hour ceremony I was baptised! Then it was time to go home and party. Thankfully when we got home I got to change into play clothes. My friends come over and we got to eat a bunch of yummy food. Daddy even broke out the baby pool and let Olivia and I splash around.

Oh Canada!

Friends I am now an international traveler! Mommy and Daddy took me on a super crazy busy fun summer vacation. Sit back and I'll tell you all about it. From that picture I bet you thought we went to the beach but we didn't we went somewhere even better. One day after school a few weeks ago Mommy and Daddy picked me up together and I noticed the car was full of stuff. We were going on an adventure! We drove a very, very long time and I admit it I was sometimes cranky. To my surprise when I woke up in the car I was at my Nannie and Poppie's house in Louisiana!

I woke up the next day (Tuesday) and Mommy and Daddy took me to this really neat playground with sand as the base. That was the first time I ever got to play with sand and it was sooo neat. I loved it so much I decided to roll around in it... it makes the car pretty dirty, I wouldn't try it if I was you.

Mommy and Daddy and I spent the whole day having fun in Louisiana shopping, eating seafood and visiting with my Nannie and Poppie. The next morning (Wednesday) we got up way before the sun did and we loaded a whole bunch of stuff in Poppies truck... we were going on an even bigger adventure! We went to the airport. I hadn't been to one of those in like 7 1/2 months... that's like half a lifetime ago for me. Mommy said we were going to Canada to see where Nannie and Poppie lived when they were little babies like me. We took two really long flights and Mommy and Daddy were so happy because they said I was a very, very good baby. But they kept using the term "busy, busy bee" for some reason hmmmm I wonder why?

We went to my Nana's house. She's my Mommy's Grandmother. We were so pooped when we got there that I slept the night away. The next morning (Thursday) Mommy, Daddy and I walked around exploring the city where Nana lives. We found this great park with a playset shaped like a boat!! It was right on the waterfront in Dartmouth, NS so I got to see real boats too. The weather was so much different than at my house in Georgia. I wore pants so I wouldn't get cold!
Friday Mommy and Daddy took me for a really Canadian experience. There's this magical place called Tim Horton's and they sell donuts that are round and made just for babies I think. Now I'm usually not the lover of sweets but this may be the turning point in my life. I attacked those tiny donuts and even stole some out of Daddy's box! That's what he gets for trusting me to hold them on the walk home from the restaurant.

Saturday was a very busy day.. we drove up to see Nannie's family. I got to meet my cousin Caden and he let me play with all of his toys. He's a member of the big boy club and I can't wait until I can do all the things he can. Nannie's family threw a big party for us so everyone could come and meet me. It was so much fun and I got to eat lobster for the first time. I liked it so much that I may ask Mommy to make it every day.

We spent the night at my Aunt Yvonne's house. She's my Mommy's Aunt too. She likes me and even let me pet her cat Morgan... I don't think he liked me as much as I liked him. It's funny, after I petted him he would run away every time I got near him. I wonder why? Nannie and Daddy helped me learn the words kitty cat since I couldn't say Morgan.

Sunday I got to meet some new people. Ms. Corrine and Mr. Grant had us over to their house for dinner and there was so much yummy food that I couldn't decide what to eat so I chowed down on a huge homemade roll while I thought it over. All this vacationing makes a boy hungry!

On Monday it was party time again. We drove to meet up with Poppie's side of the family. They had a big lunch with a bunch of fun people for me to meet. I got to eat more yummy lobster. My cousin Blair kept me thoroughly entertained with his big boy toys and his huge backyard. He has a trampoline, a sand box, a swing set and a ride on truck. You can see the ocean from his bedroom window! How neat is that?!
Tuesday is was time to say goodbye to Canada and fly home. After several delays and long flights Mommy said she was very, very relieved to be back in Louisiana where we spent the night before driving home to Georgia. I love it when Mommy drives and Daddy sits in the back with me because he lets me eat junk food. Yummy cheesey chips! So that was my adventure friends. I have so many pictures that I had to create two links for them. Click here to see the bulk of them and here to catch the tail end of my trip.

Stick It Out!

My newest hobby is sticking out my tongue. I love to do it even when I'm running! Mommy is worried I might just bite my little tongue. Even Daddy gets in on the act sometimes. Mommy says she really, really loves that I never put silly pictures of her on my blog.

Brunch Baby

After that last post I wanted to show you that I am a good boy sometimes. Two weekends ago we went out from brunch at a nice restaurant and I ate out of a real big people's bowl without making a mess or smashing it on the ground. I had a lovely fruit plate and gobbled most of Mommy and Daddy's food too. Click here to see all my pictures from Watershed.

Clever Devil

The day that I got my booster seat was a day of discovery. Mommy called it a day of horror. I think I'm such a clever devil.... Mommy says there's more emphasis on the devil part. First I figured out how to use a cardboard box as a step and I climbed onto the coffee table to dance. Here I am proclaiming victory over Mommy and her silly no climbing rules.

After Mommy helped me down I scampered off to play in the kitchen. Mommy is very nice and has filled the lowest drawer with old pots and pans that I can bang and play with without getting into trouble. Well after my conquer of the coffee table... I was struck with a brilliant idea, what if I used the drawer to climb onto the countertop?! I mean what a brilliant thought. That's where Mommy and Daddy put all the fun stuff I'm not allowed to play with like keys and cell phones. You can't keep a good man down and that day there was nothing stopping me!!

From there I decided the sky was the limit. I saw a basketball on TV and decided to scale the entertainment unit to snatch it off the screen. There are no pictures of that because Mommy was really, really upset when I grabbed either side of the flat screen TV and tried to push it to the ground.

Mommy thought I needed an outlet for all of my energy so she took me to Leapin Lizards to jump my sillies out. I bounced for a little bit and then finally figured out how to draw with chalk. Mommy was actually smiling at that discovery. I only put the chalk on my shirt or in my mouth 75% of the time, the rest of the time I was drawing up a storm.

Just when Mommy thought the naughties were all over for the day I decided to climb into an empty diaper box that was going out for recycling. I was having a great time until I tried to make the box bare all my weight and I ended up biting the dust. Sometimes discovery is painful! Mommy said the whole day was painful for her and she must have meant it because it seemed like she was in tears an awful lot that day!
Click here to see all the photos of my wicked ways... I promise I was much better behaved the next day.

Give Me A Boost

Two Saturdays ago I got the chance to move up in the world and at the table. I got my very first booster seat. Now I sit at the table just like Mommy and Daddy. They are also trying out different dishes and placemats for me. We have a very simple rating system. If I throw it on the floor that means it's fun but a big, big mess! Mommy makes sure everything I have is plastic because I sure love the clang of metal and glass. Click here to see all of the pictures of me trying out my new booster seat.

Rounding Out The Week

I spent Thursday and Friday night hanging out with my friend Olivia. We played in the sprinkler Thursday because it was another North Georgia scorcher. We often have disagreements over who gets to play with the water hose, but sometimes the fights are the most fun parts of the night. One thing's for sure, since we started playing in the sprinkler our grass has been much, much greener.

Olivia left her shoes at my house after our sprinkler splash. I really liked her crocs and was tempted to keep them, but they just weren't the right color for me. I would probably need blacks ones just like my Poppie has.

Friday night we tried to go to our favorite pool but it has been shut down for decontamination... Mommy says that means someone pooped in the pool and they have to clean it... ewww keep the poop in the diaper! We went to a bigger kids pool instead. It was ok, but not as much fun as our cool toddler hang out.
Afterwards Olivia and I split some chicken fingers at her house. Mommy thought I was playing so quietly and nicely with Olivia but instead I was in her bathroom playing with toilet paper. I think it makes a great robe... what do you think?

My Millie

As you may know Millie was one of my first friends ever. We love to get together and play. I hadn't seen her in a while so her Mommy brought her over for a play date. Millie loves me just the way I am and doesn't care that I spilled milk all over my shirt and had to go topless! I was so appreciative I offered to share my truck and my remote with her. Click here to see a few pictures of our play time.

Millie had HUGE NEWS today... she took her first steps all by herself!! I can't wait until we can run around together. You can see video of Millie's steps here on her blog.

Daddy's Day

Sunday was Father's Day and we did lots of fun things with Daddy. We went to church as usual and then I came home and played trucks with Daddy. I am still pretty small so I can sit in the beds of all of my toy trucks. All of that playing and praying wore me out so I took a two hour nap.

After my nap we went to the pool. Daddy and I swam a lot. I am such a good teacher, soon he will be able to swim like me! My friend Olivia went to the pool too. She is older than I am so she's able to dive into the pool. I'm still too little for that. Daddy knows what a boy likes and made sure I had a ton of snacks so I would have plenty of energy for all that playing in the water.

When we wrapped up at the pool we took Daddy to brunch at the James Joyce Pub. I ate more food than I've ever eaten. All that celebrating really works up an appetite.
We played at home in the afternoon and then we were invited over to Olivia's house for a special dinner. Her Daddy, Grandpa and Uncle were all there for Father's Day. I got to meet her whole family including her cousin who was supposed to be born on Sunday but who is a little shy and isn't ready to come out yet. Click here to see all my Father's Day pictures.

My Friend Olivia

The most wonderful thing has happened friends. Olivia, a nice girl who goes to my school, has moved into my neighborhood and now we get to play together all the time! You might have seen her in some of my pool pictures. She is 7 months older than me and swims like a fish. Friday night we went with our Mommies to a play date to a festival in downtown Decatur. We got balloons. They were so much fun we only fought over them a couple dozen times. Mommy had a hard time getting pictures of us with our balloons because the strings were so long.

Olivia's Daddy sometimes works at this really yummy place called Twains so after the party he gave us food to take to my house and eat on the front porch. We had chicken fingers, french fries and vegetarian chili. Chili is yummy but very, very messy. Daddy is going to have to pressure wash the porch to clean up from that meal. Because I got so dirty there was nowhere to go from there but to run through the sprinkler ball to get clean! I'm so glad Olivia doesn't judge me for my wild ways.

We had so much getting squirted by the beach ball. The people running and walking their dogs in the neighborhood thought we were so funny. Click here to see all the pictures of our Friday night fun.

I really enjoyed playing with Olivia so I invited her and her Mommy to dinner on Saturday night while her Daddy was at work. Even though I'm not really great at sharing, I let her play with some of my toys. I did break down and share my tunnel with her... sometimes things are just more fun when you do them with someone else. My toys somehow just seem that much more exciting when someone else is playing with them. To see all of our super Saturday pictures, click here.

Redneck Rambling

It has been hot here in Georgia and I mean really, really hot. Some nights we don't have enough time to go to the pool so Mommy bought me this really neat beach ball that attaches to the hose and sprinkles me. She decided I could run wild and free in a swim diaper in the sprinkler on the front lawn. I'm a pickup truck and a heartbreak away from a redneck country song! Click here to see pictures of me playing in the sprinkler. Mommy wants you to know for the record it is very, very hard to take pictures of a baby running through a sprinkler without getting totally soaked.

Howdy Pardner

Last weekend Mommy and I took a little vacation and went to visit Teetee and Uncle Troy in Nashville. I got to be a cowboy for 4 whole days! My Nannie and Poppie were there too. Uncle Troy's niece Christine was there and she was a lot of fun to play with. We did a lot of fun things like go out to eat and go to the Country Music Association Festival. Here is a picture of me at the Country Music Hall of Fame. It sure was hot in Tennessee and I am really sweaty in this picture.
Teetee and Uncle Troy must have heard how much I love water because they had a pool waiting for me in their backyard!! They must also know how much I love dogs because they let me play with their labs Angus and Godiva. Yay my two favorite things dogs and water!! Click here to see the pictures from my Nashville adventure. I'll warn you though, there's about a hundred so take your boots and cowboy hat off and settle in before you start.

Aqua Man

I know, I know... you're thinking where have you been?! I have a new hobby that has taken up a LOT of my time this spring. I love swimming!! And anything really that gets me in the water. About a month back my friend Olivia invited me to the pool for the first time and we've been going several times a week. My pool toy collection is quite extensive now and I have a dedicated pool bag. Click here to see some photos from a couple of pool trips.

Playing Hookey

Daddy stayed home with me on Tuesday so that I could fully recover from my ear infections. I woke up Tuesday feeling just fine but he didn't want to take any chances. My fever was gone but Daddy thought I felt a little warm so I got to hang out redneck style with no shirt on. Daddy and I played all day and rested. By the time Mommy came home from work I was jumping at the chance to go on a stroller walk. The antibiotics have kicked butt on my ear infections and I feel much, much better. Spring Surprise

On Monday I gave Mommy and Daddy a big surprise. I woke up full of sunshine and energy all raring to go to school. A few hours later my teacher Ms. Carol called Mommy and Daddy to tell them that I had a fever and was acting super tired. Mommy and Daddy rushed to come pick me up and take me to the doctor. Dr. Herrmann said I had two ear infections, a fever, a sore throat and my baby asthma was irritated by all that. Who knew?! I had such a fun weekend and didn't act sick at all. My doctor says I am a trooper for not complaining about being sick. She also said since I'm a big boy and walk into the office by myself I get a big boy sticker! Isn't it a cool lizard sticker?

Slumber Party

Friends on Saturday night I had my first slumber party! My friend Millie came to play and stay for the whole night. Here parents were going to an evening wedding and instead of waking Millie up way past her bedtime they let her stay at our house. We had a lot of fun playing before dinner. Millie is just getting the hang of this walking thing so I let her play with my trucks and walk across the living room. She's a very nice friend because she doesn't steal toys out of my hands or take things that I want.

Millie and I took turns eating our dinner in the high chair. I even offered to share some of my chicken nuggets, carrots and blueberries with her.

After dinner was bath time and Mommy said it would be a very, very long time before I better think about bathing with a girl so I flew solo. Millie is so silly. She made me laugh the whole time I was in the tub... especially when she threw my shirt in the water. That just cracked us up! Click here to see all our pictures from Saturday night.

Mommy said we were the best babies on the block Saturday night because after getting in our pajamas we both fell asleep quickly. Mommy had Millie sleep in the spare bedroom because I am an early bird and Millie likes to sleep in. Once Millie woke up the next day, we shared some cereal. I showed her how much my Mommy likes it when I grind the cereal all over the table and sprinkle the powder on the dog.

Millie is so sweet that I kept trying to hug her and pat her head all weekend to show her what a good friend she is. On Sunday we got all dolled up because I was getting my picture taken. It was a really fun weekend and I was sad to see Millie go. Click here to see our Sunday pictures.

Dr. Pepper

I am becoming quite the food pirate. Today Daddy was prepping vegetables for on the grill and I stole a whole bell pepper from him. It was so nice and crunchy and cold. I didn't want to let go of it. I ate as much as I could but it was very big. I even drug it outside on my swingset. Click here to see pictures of me starting my modeling career for the American Produce Association.

Spring's The Thing

Spring is here and the weather is beautiful. Every evening Mommy and I have been swinging in the backyard and playing in my clubhouse. It was warm on Monday night so we came inside and enjoyed a popsicle. Nothing says nice weather better than swinging and slurping. If you're in the neighborhood our swingset is always ready and our freezer is always stocked. Click here to see all my popsicle pictures.

I Heart Mommy

I hope you all did something nice for your Mommy yesterday because it was Mother's Day. I started off Mother's Day by being mean to Daddy. He was trying to get ready to eat breakfast and I stole the bagel right out of his hand. I ran down the hall eating it so he wouldn't catch me. He called me the bagel bandit

Daddy went to work all day so Mommy got to do what she does best on Mother's Day... be my Mommy! We played and ran errands all day. I helped my Mommy pick out a dress to wear to dinner. Here she is trying to smile and be patient while I'm trying to wiggle out of her arms.

We went to dinner at a place where they let you eat your food with little sticks. Daddy called them chopsticks but I didn't see them chop anything. They are very fun to eat with and even more fun to try to snatch out of Daddy's hand. Mommy wouldn't share her food with me because she said it was raw fish and would make me sick. I got very frustrated but I tried to behave since it was Mother's Day... I said I tried, I didn't say I succeeded.
Click here to see all of our Mother's Day photos... and to all the Mommies in my family and in my life, I love you very much.
